The Shaman and the Lover

In the heart of the forest, the shaman walks
His eyes search the shadows, his ears hear the talk
Of the spirits that dwell in this mystical place
Guiding him through the night, with their wisdom and grace

He knows the secrets of the trees, and the streams
And the language of the animals, in their dreams
He knows the rhythm of the earth, and the sky
And the magic of the stars, that pass by

In the heart of the city, the lover roams
Her eyes search the crowds, her ears hear the moans
Of the people that walk on the concrete and steel
Lost in their own lives, that they cannot feel

She knows the power of touch, and the kiss
And the language of the heart, that never miss
She knows the rhythm of love, and the soul
And the magic of the bond, that makes us whole

The shaman and the lover, seem so apart
But their hearts beat as one, in the cosmic heart
For they both seek the same thing, in different ways
The truth of our existence, and the love that stays.
